Brave, a crypto-centric and privacy-focused web browser, has finally introduced the crypto wallet on its desktop and mobile platforms. Brave’s development team has been actively developing the crypto wallet for a long time. Now, to celebrate the occasion, Brave announced a giveaway of nearly half a million dollars in crypto prizes, including the 80 ETH worth Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT.
Brave Wallet is a crypto wallet that users can find within the browser. So unlike other wallets such as the Coinbase Wallet and Metamask, you don’t need to install the plugin; you simply need the Brave Browser for accessing the wallet.
The Brave Wallet Swap-stakes event has already begun on March 8, 2022, and will end on March 14, 2022, with the chance of winning new prizes each day.
According to the Brave’s official announcement, the eligibility criteria for the given day’s prizes is as such:
- Users must have a Brave Wallet address that’s active on that day.
- Users must make at least one crypto swap on that day using the Brave Swap feature available in the Brave Wallet.
And, the eligibility criteria for the grand prizes (1 winner of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT and 5 winners of 1000 BAT Tokens):
- Users must have a Brave Wallet address that is active during the event, i.e., 12:01 am PST on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, to 11:59 pm PST on Monday, March 14, 2022.
- Users need to make at least one crypto swap on the contest active dates using the Brave Wallet’s Brave Swap feature.
As we mentioned above, Brave Wallet is free to use on both desktop and mobile platforms. In case you can’t see the wallet icon, you can update the browser to the latest version.
Alternatively, mobile users can update the Brave browser from Play Store or App Store.
The winners of the Brave Wallet Swap-stakes event will be chosen by their wallet address and the winners of the event will know that they have won when they observe a freshly minted golden ticket NFT dropped into their wallet.
The golden ticket serves as proof of winning the prize and can be used for redeeming the actual prize. Then, winners will have to contact the Brave team via the @brave.com email address and use a specific codeword. Both of the details will along with further instructions be displayed on the ticket. Brave will be dropping off the prizes in the same wallet where the winner got the golden ticket.
Note: Brave will not ask winners to share their private key or any of the wallet information. Please avoid any resource that asks for such details as it likely is a phishing attempt. Additionally, don’t reply to anyone who reached out to your email address other than a @brave.com email address.
