French luxury automobile manufacturer Bugatti collaborates with Asprey, a UK-based retail jewellery brand, to build a handcrafted sculpture of its model La Voiture Noire in 24 Karat rose gold. The rose gold sculpture is finished with the signatures of both the automobile manufacturer and the British luxury jeweller.
Besides NFT accompanying the La Voiture Noire inspired sculpture, both Bugatti and Asprey aim to launch 261 silver sculptures alongside its NFTs in an exclusive drop later this month. The firms decided to create 261 silver sculptures because the top speed of the hypercar La Voiture Noire is 261mph. Meanwhile, the people who purchase these exclusive pieces can witness the whole production process of their sculptures by simply logging into the invite-only microsite ‘aspreybugatti.com‘.
The owners can ornate their physical sculptures with distinct colour bases based on the NFT minted. Each of the coloured bases will be crafted to relate to the iconic brand colours of Bugatti and Asprey, thereby representing the partnership and history of the duo.
Asprey Digital Studio’s Chief Creative Officer, Ali Walker, said that their partnership with Bugatti will help them explore new production and artistic techniques.“The bold colours mixed with the gold and precious silver metals create a vivid pop art theme. As for the “Noire”, only the buyer of the one of one will know that,” Walker mentioned.
